If you have ever wondered what it might be like to improvise on your instrument but are intimidated by the prospect of expressing yourself in a spontaneous setting, this course is for you!

English Country Dance Ensemble

UVMC English Country Dance Instrumental Music sessions provide a friendly, flexible and spontaneous small ensemble setting for beginning, intermediate to experienced players of a variety of traditional instruments.

Vivace

Students will tackle complex music with varied rhythms, keys, and time signatures, while learning to blend and balance with their section and the greater ensemble.

Sinfonia

Students will learn how to play in a section, holding their own on a part that is rhythmically & melodically different than other parts of the ensemble.

Cello Choir

For adult cellists, this weekly class will include work on technique as well as cello choir ensemble pieces.

Contra Dance Band

In this group class, we'll explore some important characteristics of contra dance choreography and how they relate different kinds of music.
