Instrument Tune Up

In Instrument Tune Up workshops, UVMC faculty, staff and friends help you figure out how to get your instrument ready to play again. Each workshop will focus on a specific instrument family. We can tune instruments and make recommendations on what additional repairs may be needed. While we can’t make repairs on site, we can point you in the right direction and help you make decisions about the next steps to get your instrument in good working order. Instrument Tune Up workshops are free and open to the whole community, and drop-ins are welcome.

Technique Tune Up

Technique Tune Up workshops will also focus on a specific instrument or instrument family. UVMC faculty will review the fundamentals of technique for playing or singing, so that you can build confidence and refresh your memory. These workshops are especially for musicians who studied or played at an earlier part of their lives, but need a refresher to prepare for joining an ensemble or making practice a regular habit again. Technique Tune Up workshops are free and open to the community, with pre-registration required.
