Monday Night Fiddle

Advanced beginner and intermediate fiddlers are invited to learn tunes in a supportive group session.

Traditional Ensembles: Bal Folk

English Country Dance Ensemble

UVMC English Country Dance Instrumental Music sessions provide a friendly, flexible and spontaneous small ensemble setting for beginning, intermediate to experienced players of a variety of traditional instruments.

Vivace

Students will tackle complex music with varied rhythms, keys, and time signatures, while learning to blend and balance with their section and the greater ensemble.

Sinfonia

Students will learn how to play in a section, holding their own on a part that is rhythmically & melodically different than other parts of the ensemble.

Cello Choir

For adult cellists, this weekly class will include work on technique as well as cello choir ensemble pieces.

Contra Dance Band

In this group class, we'll explore some important characteristics of contra dance choreography and how they relate different kinds of music. 

Beginning Fiddle

Beginning adults start with the very basics: how to hold the fiddle and bow with clean, relaxed technique that fits your body, how to “hear” and remember a tune.

Tour Group

Tour Group is a conductorless chamber ensemble for strings students.

Build up your repertoire of the classic New England tunes in this workshop open to all instruments!
