Donations
Membership fees don’t provide enough revenue to cover the expenses of the orchestra, which include the costs of a conductor, music, rehearsal and concert venues, insurance, registration, and more. The cost of a year of engaging rehearsals and inspiring concerts is about $400 per member per year.
Similar to many performing ensembles, ticket proceeds account for 25-30% of expenses, so we rely on everyone coming together to be able to keep the music going. All membership fees above $150 are considered a tax-deductible donation. If you are able, please consider a $200 or higher membership to help everyone make music together!
You can make an additional donation online when you register, or write a separate check payable to UVMC with “UVSO Donation” in the memo line, and mail it to PO Box 826, Lebanon NH 03766. Your gift of any amount makes a difference!
Not an orchestra member, but want to help support the UVSO? You can make a gift to the orchestra fund at any time!
UVMC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and relies on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and businesses to support music education activities.
Volunteer
The Upper Valley Symphony Orchestra has a steering committee that provides oversight to the program, plans events, and provides support to the conductor. The successful function of the orchestra relies on a number of dedicated volunteers outside the committee, from the music librarian to those who bring snacks for concert receptions!
