Betty Clendenning Violin FacultyBM Curtis Institute, MM The Cleveland Institute. At Curtis, Elizabeth was a student of Ivan Galamian. She played in the Cleveland Orchestra under George Szell for 6 seasons. Since moving to Hanover, she has been concertmaster of the Vermont Symphony and Opera North, and played in the Chautauqua Festival Orchestra for 11 seasons and in other ensembles in the New England region. She also played and taught in Honduras for 10 years helping to develop a national orchestra, receiving a Fulbright Grant for that purpose. Elizabeth is a teacher of violin, viola, chamber music, and orchestral skills.
