Getting Started

  • How to register:
    • Complete Lesson Inquiry Form
    • Attend a Suzuki Program Information Night
    • Confirm interest and instrument preference with the Suzuki Program Coordinator

The Suzuki Program accepts new students in September each year, with occasional exceptions for mid-year starts. Students transferring from another Suzuki program may start mid-year if space is available. If you are getting ready to start, here are some things to do in the meantime:

    • Parents: Read Nurtured By Love by Shinichi Suzuki
    • Children: Sign up for a Music Together class to build music fundamentals
    • Parents and Children: Listen to, watch, or attend live performances of fine cellists, flutists, violists, or violinists.

“My daughter loves her violin. She doesn’t always love to practice, but when she figures out something new on her own and then runs to show me or my wife, she radiates pride and joy. There is nothing else that she does that asks so much of her and gives her so much in return.”
