The Aphasia Choir of the Upper Valley
Thursdays, 11 am - 12 pm

A partnership between Upper Valley Music Center and Dartmouth Health, the Aphasia Choir is a singing ensemble for individuals who experience speech loss due to stroke or TBI, along with their caregivers. Led by Allison Pollard, a board-certified music therapist, this group will offer a supportive space for singing together and helping those who have trouble speaking find their voice through song. Music will be selected based on participant interests. The rehearsals will culminate in an informal music-sharing event at DHMC.
The group will meet at DHMC, specific rooms TBA. The final gathering will include an opportunity to share music with the community and a reception.
Minimum/Maximum Enrollment: 8/20
Length: 12 weeks plus culminating event; 1 hour rehearsals
Tuition: This program is offered free of charge.
Faculty: Allison Pollard, MT-BC
