Music Theory for Piano Students
Students enrolled in piano lessons are invited to extend their theory knowledge through the curriculum of the Royal Academy of Music, London, England. This class will offer the opportunity to complete the national theory certification using the Royal Academy’s Standards. This course is free for piano students who are enrolled in a full semester of lessons.
Wednesdays: Royal Academy’s Grade Level 2. Prerequisite: completion of Royal Academy Level 1.
Thursdays: Royal Academy’s Grade Level 1. Prerequisite: individual lesson teacher approval.
Placement in consultation with the Piano Coordinator, Sarah Brown, and lesson teachers.
Prerequisites: Must be currently enrolled in lessons. Placement in consultation with piano coordinator.
Faculty: Sarah Brown
Cost: Free for students currently enrolled in UVMC lessons. $200 for other students.
Length: 16 weeks; 45 minute classes
Minimum/Maximum Enrollment: 4/12
