Ephemera: A No-Time-For-Choir Choir
Fall: September 10-December 17
Tuesday evenings: 7:00-8:15 pm
You’ve sung in a chorus before, but just can’t commit to one right now for whatever reason… or maybe Tuesday nights are pretty quiet, and you have a hunger to spend that time singing! Music will be wildly diverse, drawn from the folk traditions of many countries, seven centuries of classical tradition, living songwriters, chant, rock, country, and the American songbook. Patricia will choose a piece or two that suits the forces that appear that evening. Any sheet music handed out will be collected at the end, so nothing to keep track of. We’ll learn the piece, practice it, polish it, and steep ourselves in that music for one beautiful moment. The next week will be a new piece and another bit of magic reserved for that particular day.
This group is for people who have already have developed some singing skill; we won’t be teaching you how to sing in this group. We ask that you are able to match pitch, hold your own in a round, and are comfortable with written music.
