Children’s Chorus

Elementary school students are invited to develop the skills and musicality that comes from singing with an ensemble, as well as the joyous community, social structure, and mental health benefits! This ensemble will focus on developing children’s voices in a supportive environment with age-appropriate instruction and community celebrations to share music with family and friends.

Children’s chorus is open to children in grades Kindergarten-4th grade who are ready to participate in a large group setting. Children who are not ready for sitting, standing, and singing with a group during rehearsals are encouraged to join one of our other group classes that allow for more movement or work in smaller groups. Please contact the office if you have questions about your child’s participation, or if your child will need accommodations to participate. Our goal is to be welcoming to all children and to provide a range of developmentally appropriate music activities that work for many types of young musicians!

Schedule Two rehearsal times are offered, and families can choose one or the other day. Tuesday rehearsals will take place at White River School in the Music Room. Thursday rehearsals will take place at First Congregational Church of Lebanon, next door to UVMC. Students from any school district can attend either section. Both sections will come together for a final celebration, during which families will be invited to hear what children have learned.

No Rehearsal October 31 or January 14

Tuition Tuition is $165 per semester. For students enrolled in the Hartford School District tuition is $20. Tuition assistance is available to all families.

Celebration: Rehearsal sections will join together for a celebratory music-sharing event for family and friends at the end of the term.

Spring semester: May 17
