Sheet music at UVMC

The Growing Music Library at UVMC

The Music Library started slowly, and was originally organized by instrument then by composer. After UVMC moved from Hanover Street to 8 South Park Street in 2017, the library required reorganization. Volunteers have donated their time to catalog sheet music but more help is needed as the donations keep coming in.

It took about 200 years, but a Federal-style brick house on the green in Lebanon, New Hampshire, is now the headquarters of Upper Valley Music Center, a community music school with a mission to provide and promote the best in music education and ensemble opportunities.

Hearing Young Voices: UVMC’s Children’s Chorus

How did the Children's Chorus at UVMC begin? It was 1999 and Marcia Williams, one of three co-founders of Upper Valley Music Center, noticed there was a lack of ensemble music opportunities outside of school for children in the Upper Valley.
