UVMC In the News- Upper Valley Choruses Adapt

The Valley News featured Patricia Norton and the Zoomberry ensemble in their feature article about how Upper Valley Choruses are adapting to COVID restrictions.

In the article, Norton was interviewed about her choice to create a film as the culminating experience for the ensemble, instead of a performance.

“You can share what you’ve learned with your friends and your family during those performances. You have this sort of celebratory moment where everything comes together and jells,” Norton said. “I knew that performing was not going to be in the picture, so I was thinking how else could we create something together that we can share? That’s where the idea of creating a film came from.”

UVMC has received a grant form the Choral Arts Foundation of the Upper Valley to support Zoomberry’s commissioned work from Claudia Rahardjanoto, as well as the creation of the film.
