
Workshops with Dr. Richard Lissemore

Dr. Lissemore will conduct two separate workshops intended for teachers of singing, students who want more pedagogical information or anyone interested in the science of the singing voice. Each workshop includes a presentation as well as a chance to see his techniques in action as he demonstrates the topics with students:
12-2 pm, Falsetto Nation: Integrating falsetto into male chest voice
2:30-4:30 pm, Standard Pedagogy and Technique for the female belt voice
Lissemore serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at Lehman College of CUNY, where he teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. His professional affiliations include Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), The Voice Foundation, The Acoustical Society of America (ASA), and The American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA). From 1999 to 2020, he owned Lissemore Music Studios in New York City.
