
Jazz Improvisation Workshop with Rich Greenblatt

Explore improvisation with Boston-based jazz vibraphonist, band leader, and Berklee College of Music Professor Rich Greenblatt. Musicians on all instruments are welcome, and will have the opportunity to play together, get feedback, and ask questions. This workshop is designed for intermediate level players, but all levels are welcome.
About Rich Greenblatt: Boston-based jazz vibraphonist and band leader of The Rich Greenblatt Vibes Group is a musician with “dazzling speed and a truly magical touch” writes John Blenn in Good Times magazine. Rich has recorded five CDs as a leader: Green Sky, My Take, Hat Trick, Hot and Dry, and Mooin’. Each recording features a different band and instrumentation.
Rich has played in jazz and blues festivals in the U.S. and Europe and recorded with The Be-Bop Guitars, The Jazz Composers’ Alliance, Hide Tokunaga, The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, The Paramount Brass Quintet, and the rhythm and blues group, Inspector Tuppence.
Over the years he has played with great artists including Kurt Elling, Billy Mitchell, Kevin Hayes, Valery Ponamarev, Bill Charlap, Yoron Israel, Dennis Irwin, Winard Harper, Joe Hunt, Teddy Charles, and Oscar Castro-Neves. He is a full professor at the Berklee College of Music and music director for the Berklee Cirque du Soleil Ensemble.
