Elizabeth Martin, violin/viola, began playing violin in a Suzuki music program at the age of three and graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory with a B.M. in Violin Performance and a B.A. in Creative Writing. Before attending Oberlin she performed internationally with the Suzuki Music Columbus Tour Group and was a student soloist with the Chamber Music Connection in 2021. She has also performed with professional ensembles throughout Ohio such as the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Project Columbus.

Elizabeth has registered training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and believes wholeheartedly in the philosophy that learning to play music develops a beautiful heart. She aims to facilitate joyful, nurturing lessons and group classes that bring out the best in every student. Elizabeth is excited to join the team at Upper Valley Music Center teaching both viola and violin.
