Theory and Composition for Traditional Musicians

Not currently offered. Check back for dates in an upcoming term.
Wednesdays 7-8:30 pm
Online via Zoom

This class will involve weekly composition exercises: students will write whatever type of music they are interested in, sending them in via email each week before class. During class I will play each of the pieces and lead a group discussion centered on the students’ compositions, looking at the elements of music theory as they relate to the pieces, and offer ideas for further exploration.

If you have not yet enrolled and are unsure of your level, please complete this form and we will consult to place you in the correct section. If there is enough interest, the class will split into two section.
