Early Childhood Music in the Community

Upper Valley Music Center Music Together teachers have had a busy month of music classes around town. We are grateful for our wonderful community partners including Good Beginnings of the Upper Valley, Waypoint, the DH Women’s Health Resource Center, and Twin River Children’s Center for spreading the musical joy with more than 100 babies, toddlers, children and their grownups!

April 6 marked the beginning of the Week of the Young Child, an annual celebration that brings attention to the needs of young children and their families and recognizes early childhood educators and services. The week features a theme for each day during the week, and Music Together teacher Katie Kitchel created a video for The Family Place families to encourage everyone to sing and dance at home. Vital Communities sponsored a kick-off event for the community, and UVMC Suzuki students performed as part of the ceremony.
