Choral Singing
Tuesdays 9:30-10:30 am OR 5:45-6:45 pm
We are so excited to begin singing together again at UVMC! In this 16-week group class, we will draw upon a variety of genres in order to strengthen the choral singing skills that can be applied in any chorus. We will practice rhythmic precision with jazz standards, clear diction with show tunes, choral tuning with the pure vowels of Latin, and stacked harmony with folk songs from around the world. We will also utilize the Takadimi and Kodály Solfege systems to upgrade our sight-singing skills. Research-backed vocal technique methods will free your voice to sing stronger and healthier than ever before. All levels welcome!
At the end of the course, the Choral Singing classes will share their music with friends and family in an informal performance.
