Welcome to Sing & Play Festival!

Every spring since 2018, Sing & Play Festival had brought our community together to celebrate making music by and for each other. Sharing music with family, friends, and neighbors is an essential part of the learning experience for members of ensembles and everyone enrolled in weekly lessons and classes. Sing & Play Festival expands on this spirit of sharing and invites all music makers in our community, with public participatory events like busking, jam sessions, a family sing-a-long, and more. We invite everyone to be part of the celebration, whether singing, playing, or enjoying the music in the audience!

Thank you to this year’s festival sponsor, Aloha Foundation, for supporting this free community event!

While you’re here, browse the menu on the left to check out the photos and stories from previous years.

A few ways to participate in this year’s festival:

  • Volunteer to help make this free community event possible! Volunteers help with things like setting up and greeting audiences. You’ll have lots of fun while earning a t-shirt and our undying gratitude!
  • Sign up for a busking slot! Anyone who’s brave enough to perform on the street can have a turn in our Busker’s Tent, set up outside Lucky’s Coffee Garage.
  • Bring your instrument, voice, or dance moves for one of our participatory jam sessions: jazz, traditional tunes, or family songs.
  • Attend a performance on May 18 or 19 and support performers as an enthusiastic audience member.
