Handel’s Messiah: Aria Recital & Hallelujah Sing
2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST
Singing along with Handel’s Messiah is one of our favorite holiday traditions at UVMC. We’re happy to bring back this annual event, keeping the elements that make it special: communal singing, moving arias, and instrumental performances. Modified to accommodate COVID health procedures, this year’s event keeps the spirit of the event while prioritizing performer and audience safety.
UVMC students soloists will perform selected arias, supported by string quartet and harpsichord. The quintet will also perform an overture, under the direction of Upper Valley Chamber Orchestra’s conductor Mark Nelson.
UVMC will provide scores for all attendees, and we’ll gather outdoors on the front lawn of the church to sing the Hallelujah Chorus. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate the holiday tradition, support student performers, and enjoy the chance to sing together safely!
Please Note: All attendees ages 12+ will be required to provide proof of vaccination to enter the venue, and masking will be required. For more details about UVMC’s health policies visit our website.
This event is planned in conjunction with Revels North’s Christmas Revels Festival, taking place in Colburn Park December 17-19. Be sure to check out their schedule and enjoy the festival while you’re in town! Revelsnorth.org
