Early Music Workshop with Ensemble Halcyon

Join UVMC and Ensemble Halcyon for a day immersed in early music! Led by UVMC’s own Chris Rua, along with guest musicians Jane Hershey and Sarah Cantor, early music lovers are invited to spend a day learning, playing, and enjoying great music on recorder, viola da gamba, and harpsichord. Workshops will include: Intermediate, high intermediate and advanced recorder consorts, Advanced Renaissance Mixed Consort, Beginning viol, Viol consort, Large Ensemble and Double Choir.

Registration includes three workshops during the day and a concert by the faculty in the afternoon.
The concert is also open to the community.

Tentative Schedule:
9:30 am: Arrival and coffee
10-11:15 am: Workshop 1
11:30-12:45: Workshop 2
12:45-1:45: Lunch Break
1:45-3 pm: Workshop 3
5 pm: Concert
