Brendan Taaffe Singing Workshop
10:30 am to 4:00 pm
In partnership with Revels North, UVMC will host a singing workshop with Brendan Taaffe.
An engaging and dynamic song leader, Brendan Taaffe has been bringing people around the world together in harmony for the past 15 years. His songs are known for their lush harmony and moving texts. Taaffe’s choral music is rooted in American vernacular traditions (shape note, Appalachian hymns and ballads, bluegrass gospel, etc) and his teaching is based in the precepts of the Natural Voice Network, which creates a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all voices. In this workshop we’ll spend the day singing together in harmony. Singing is everybody’s birthright, so all are welcome. All parts will be taught by ear.
Register through Revels North.
Hailed as one of New England’s leading songsters, Brendan Taaffe has been working with choirs and leading workshops since 2003.
